Works from 2004

Here are my complete scribbles from 2004.

Ya old coot! Snappy Valentine
The assignment was to draw a Valentine's card. The punchline is a little corny but I love the drawing. Looking back at it now, I think it's very "Mad Magazine".
GRRRRRR. Truck Drivin' Lady
I'm sure I was channeling John K. from Ren and Stimpy when I drew this.
For the Money Hobos
Done for an hour-long assignment in cartooning class. The goal was to make any comic about two people interacting, and I was quite pleased with the simplicity and humour of this piece. I like the effect of the calligraphy pens too!
Rhino Rhino
A football-playing Rhinocerous design that I messed around with for an unfinished animation project.
Rhino and little girl Rhino and Girl
A more-developed Rhino design plus a little girl that's also to be in the cartoon.
Pretty Sexy Monkey Me
This is what I'd look like if I was a baboon...
Sexier still Monkey Me 2
...It was part of a "business card" project. I figured it fit the Monkey Grove theme and projected the silliness of a lot of my art.
Tally me impressionists Painter Landscape
This weirdo landscape emerged when I was experimenting with Corel Painter. The tally marks symbolize laziness.
Your puny lasers are no match for my impervious Diamonique Jar! Evil Brain
A really quick work I did to use as an avatar...not my best, but I like the character. He was the boastful yet pitifully weak end boss of a hilarious game called Space Station Silicon Valley.
Mmm...pie! Pie Chief
I was drawing the Master Chief from Halo for a game contest. He's so complicated that by the time I was done, I didn't feel like drawing him again in another pose, and I came up with this idea of him trying to eat through his helmet. Not bad!
Mmm...pie! Pie Chief 2
I was experimenting with Corel Painter and decided it would be fun to redo the Master Chief drawing. Painter does some really neat stuff.
