This is not complete yet, but it's a good sample of last year's work.
Staring Down A Mullet
This was created entirely on the computer for a school project my girlfriend did. Apparently it is a bad idea to stare at someone with a mullet. I love the mullet character but the
background could use some extra work.

Link vs. the Dizzy
Moth
This is a close-up of Link from the larger picture I designed a while ago. I cropped
a lot of his body out of the large image because I felt the Moth should be the focal
point, but I worked really hard on him, so here he is.
|
Tetra
This is Link's friend and co-adventurer from the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
I sketched her out without any reference materials to aid
me, so it's not totally accurate.
|
Spy Guy
A character I invented, based on a dream I had! He's kind of
nifty, but maybe a bit cliche. The drawing is cliche too, for that matter. But technically it's not half bad, so I
decided to include it here.

Leapin' Links!
A quick and dirty sketch of Link, in the style of The Legend of
Zelda: The Wind Waker. More action than I usually put into my
character poses at the time.
|
Farnsworth
A super-fast sketch of Prof. Farnsworth (from Futurama) that's
worth posting not because it's really good but because I came
up with something funny for him to say!
|
Reggae
Just a silly sketch I did of a stereotypical Reggae guy. I think
it has a lot of personality!
|
Simpsons Shelf
Large image warning! This was for my girlfriend's
birthday: the shelf has portraits of our family members on one
side and a scene with the Simspsons cast on the other. It was
a lot of fun to make.
|
Mounted Simpsons Shelf
Here's the shelf on my girlfriend's wall, complete with her Simpsons figures.
I used watercolours, so you can see some woodgrain through it; I like
the effect.
|
Lumber Jack
A one-shot superhero (maniac?) named Lumber Jack. Get it? His
name is Jack! C'mon, at least you have to admit that he
looks funny!
|
CData Explores the Woods
I came up with this very expressive piece of a robot exploring
a natural landscape one slow summer afternoon. I think it's
heavily influenced by Samurai Jack and The Wind Waker.
|
Gunpowder
This one popped on to the sketch pad while I was listening to
the song Gunpowder by Wyclef Jean. It's a moving song and I
tried to channel its energy into the picture.
