Shallow High - Character Bios
This is the story behind each of the major characters as well as some of
the not-so-major ones.
Major Players
|
Bill - Bill is the all-star sports hero and all around cutie-pie
among the Shallow High Freshmen. He's not too bright, and he's
not very nice, either, but why would he need either of those things?
As it turns out, he could use a bit of both when it comes to
attracting his love-interest, Janice.
|
Janice - Janice is Ms. Popular Freshman at Shallow High. She
has a crush on Bill, but thanks to the 6teen magazine, Janice
realizes that she needs a man who treats her with respect, (or
at least lots of money), so she expects more from Bill than the
poor guy can give.
|
Nina - In a community full of filthy rich people, Nina's dad
is...err...really filthy rich. Nina gets everything her
heart desires, and has a constantly upbeat, bubbly personality.
Nina also has the distinction of being one of the four visible
minorities in Shallow High.
|
Tony - Tony manages to blend in with the popular crowd, and
he enjoys taking advantage of the various things they have to
offer. He's subversive, and enjoys playing around with psychology,
and toys with the idea of evil. Tony tends to perform well in
school, but doesn't put any effort in his work, which sometimes
frustrates people who see his potential.
|
Harold - Harold is the archetypal nerd. Dana, his only real
friend, moved to the city before starting high school, and Harold
winds up becoming friends with Jeff. Jeff forces Harold to
start taking chances in life, which makes things a lot more interesting,
although sometimes Harold would just prefer to stay at home.
|
Jeff - Hailed as a future great in basketball, Jeff found
himself receiving an offer from Vice Prinicipal Atriks to play
on the Shallow High team. Jeff leads the basketball team to victory,
in exchange for a home for Jeff and his family in Shallow Creek.
Jeff sees this as an opportunity to improve his family's life, and takes
it. Jeff considers Harold to be a valuable friend in a school with a culture
that is completely different from what he is used to.
|
Small Potatoes
|
Dominic Atriks - The Vice Principal of Shallow Creek High School
takes care of all the "dirty business" that the principal doesn't
like to get involved in (or doesn't need to know about). Being
in such a wealthy community, the school receives considerable funds
from parents, as well as a generous corporate sponsorship from
an internet company owned by Nina's father.
|
Dana - Harold's best friend moved away before the pair began
high school. She doesn't play a regular role in the strip,
but appears in the opening storyline, and might return for camoes
in later strips.
