Bad Conscience - Character Bios

This page relates the stories behind the characters.

Our Heroes

Mark

Mark - Mark is the protagonist of Bad Conscience. Kif and Tif serve as his only directors in life, and they do a bad job. Mark is constantly getting himself into trouble with their help.

Tif

Tif - Tif is a rude oaf. He usually tries the direct approach when getting Mark to do bad things: foul language, bodily functions, and general rudeness are Tif's speciality.

Kif

Kif - Kif prides himself on sophistication, to the point of being snooty. He generally tries to hatch more intricate schemes to humiliate Mark than Tif does, although the results aren't always better. Kif fancies himself an evil genius, but he's a bit of a romantic at heart.

Other Cast Members

Lonnie

Lonnie - Mark's roommate is hard to get along with. He's a very foul-tempered person, and he even scares Tif and Kif. Lonnie would likely be the most regular of the secondary characters.

Ariadne

Ariadne - Mark manages to get a date with a girl in one of his classes, and winds up with more than he bargained for. Ariadne turns out to have two bad consciences as well, but more improtantly, she has a nasty ex-boyfriend who doesn't like Mark very much at all. Ariadne would probably appear in the strip on a semi-regular basis, as Mark's on-and-off girlfriend.

Miller

Miller - Miller is Ariadne's jealous boyfriend. He really has it in for Mark. There really isn't much more to be said about him. He isn't likely to be a regular character, but he might reappear now and then.

Others - Penelope is a girl with two good consciences who might be enticed by Mark. While no other characters have been finalized, there are plenty of possibilities including teachers, relatives and friends.
